We are a residential plumbing company with an office at 116 W Gay St in downtown West Chester, a few blocks from the courthouse at High and Market. We work on the plumbing in the borough’s historic homes and in the township neighborhoods around them, and we believe you should understand your plumbing problem and its price before anyone starts work.
Who we are

What the Pennsylvania registration means
Pennsylvania does not issue a statewide plumbing license. Instead, the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act requires contractors who do $5,000 or more of residential home improvement work a year to register with the Pennsylvania Attorney General and carry minimum liability insurance. The registration number has to appear on every contract, estimate, and advertisement. Ours is PA117264, and you can verify it with the Attorney General or by calling 1-888-520-6680.
What our memberships mean
ASSE, the American Society of Sanitary Engineering, develops standards for plumbing products and professional qualification programs in areas such as backflow prevention. PHCC, the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association, is a national trade association for plumbing and mechanical contractors focused on training, safety, and professional practice. Membership connects us to the standards and training behind good plumbing work.
How we work
The complaints people make about plumbers are rarely about the pipes. They are about surprise bills, pressure to buy more than they need, and repairs nobody explained. These are the principles we work by.
- Diagnose before pricing. Camera inspections, pressure tests, and leak location come before a repair quote, so the price is for the real problem.
- Written prices. You approve a written price, with our registration number on it, before work begins. If something changes once a wall or a trench is open, we stop and show you before going further.
- Show the problem. For sewer work you can watch the camera footage. For leaks you can see the readings. For failed parts you can see the part.
- Honest options. Where there is a less expensive way to solve the problem, we tell you, along with its trade-offs.
- Permits handled. When the job needs a permit from your borough or township, it is pulled before the work starts.
- Respect for old houses. In plaster-wall and shared-wall homes, we plan the work to open as little as possible and protect floors and trim.
Local knowledge that changes the answer

- Sewer or septic? Borough homes are on public sewer run by the Borough of West Chester. Township homes can be on public sewer or on septic, sometimes varying by street.
- Whose pipe is it? Municipalities maintain the sewer mains. The lateral from the house to the main is generally the owner’s.
- What is in the water? Aqua Pennsylvania’s West Chester system has moderately hard water and has detected PFAS compounds, which affects water heaters, fixtures, and filtration choices.
